I’m Lucy Brooke, a Holderness lass born and bred with a passion for our local history. I originally studied archaeology, before joining the family ironmongery business for many years and I’m now a self-employed housekeeper/gardener specialising in Listed buildings and old houses.
I write a history column for the Holderness Gazette, and I also write and present talks for Hull and East Riding Heritage events, Hedon History Walks (in collaboration with Tony Porter) and other organisations.
